The Snowman Will be Flying Through Brighton From Sunday

E3 are thrilled that a special Snowman bus has been commissioned by Brighton & Hove Buses, supporting Chestnut Tree House children's hospice. Together with the team at Chestnut Tree House, E3 are producing the tenth Snowman Spectacular Fundraising Ball in 2017. The Snowman bus will officially be in service from Sunday, 5 November, so make sure to snap a photo and post it on social media if you see it!

MD of Brighton & hove Buses Martin Harris said, “we are absolutely thrilled to bring the Snowman Bus to our customers and in time for Christmas”. Raymond Briggs, the illustrator of the original artwork for The Snowman is a patron of the Chestnut Tree House and a 50-year resident of Sussex. This is reflected in the original publication of the book and subsequent TV short, both of which feature prominent Brighton landmarks such as The Royal Pavilion and The Palace Pier.

Chestnut Tree House’s Head of Fundraising Sarah Arnold said: “The Snowman Bus is a fantastic way for us to celebrate the iconic character of Brighton, and a reminder of how the story resonates with us and the life-limited children and families we care for”.

The bus will enter service from this Sunday, but the first public appearance will be the day before, Saturday, 4 November. This will be outside the Royal Pavilion at about 2.30 in the afternoon, and will be to celebrate the collaboration between Raymond Briggs and Chestnut Tree House.

E3 are proud to produce The Snowman Spectacular Fundraising Ball for the sixth consecutive year, and we will be releasing more details of this fantastic event in the future. Keep up to date with E3 news by following our social media pages.
