60 Cinderellas Wow the Judges at our Open Auditions

With big, bold family panto ready to return to Brighton after a 10-year absence, there was a mix of both nerves and confidence at the open auditions. More than 60 people - both professionals and newcomers - came down to the Brighton Academy of Performing Arts to see if they had what it took to be our star performer!

As the judges arrived, more than 30 people had already beaten them to the mark, with some having come from as far away as Scotland. There were smiles to be worn and songs to be sung. Our potential Cinderella’s were keen to show us what they had, and we were keen to listen to the songs they had chosen for themselves. Brighton’s diversity shone through as ever with the judges listening to a mix of songs ranging from ‘Rain on My Parade’ to ‘Walking on Sunshine’.

With more than 60 people seen, we have narrowed down our selection, and our potential Cinderella’s will be notified later this week as to whether they have made it through to the second round. The pool of talent on display was fantastic, and some difficult decisions have had to be made, but with round two being held next Sunday (October 1st), we know we will have some even harder decisions to make in the future. Huge thanks goes out to every single one of our applicants. Thank you so much for coming to Brighton to see us, because it was a pleasure to see you!
